Attached to 336th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, 4th Fighter-Interceptor
service in the Korean War, Air Force Second Lieutenant Halterman experienced
a traumatic event which ultimately resulted in loss of life on December
24, 1953. Recorded circumstances attributed to: Non-Hostile Air Crash.

Halterman was a pilot with the 336th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron,
4th Fighter-Interceptor Group. He was lost in the Sea of Japan as
a result of an aircraft accident on December 24, 1953. His remains
were not recovered.
Halterman is buried or memorialized at Courts of the Missing at the
Honolulu Memorial. This is an American Battle Monuments Commission
remembered at the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington. This
