DETAILS

Second Lieutenant Halterman was a pilot with the 336th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, 4th Fighter-Interceptor Group. He was lost in the Sea of Japan as a result of an aircraft accident on December 24, 1953. His remains were not recovered.
